 •WHAT IS QUEER AS FOLK?

Based on a British series, Queer as Folk depicts the lives of several american gays and lesbians in Pittsburgh.  The show is known for its controversial approach on gay life, and for being the first tv show to  depict gay sex on American TV.  While it follows the lives of several individuals, it is not meant to reflect all of gay society.
